Have been coming here for over 18 years

Animal fair is such a delightful place to visit, even if it's just to peek at the baby hamsters and fish! i have been coming her for 18 years at least, to buy supplies for my hamsters, and always find what i am looking for plus occasionally more! The shop stocks the latest in animal 'must-haves', so indeed, don't be surprised if you come out with more then u planned. The staff have indepth knowledge of hamsters in particular, and have offered me more useful tips then all the vets I have visited. I would rate Animal Fair as the number 1 pet shop in West London! Thoroughly recommended.Report this

I bought a kitten not to long ago and I went to animal fair to get advice and everything I need for my new pet. Having a cat is new to me and they were very patient and explained every single detail to me. I was also pleased with the variety of products that they have, you can find anything to make any pet happy!Report this
Lovely shop, but no service

This shop have an excellent range of products, spanning across from typical dog and cats items, and fish+ birds + small animals cages and accessories. There were many things to look at. Howvever, customer service is appalling (I have read other reviews and apparently this has declined over the years?). There might as well be no one there. When I went inside there were three shopkeepers -- none said hello and not even a smile. Sat on the stairs chatting and gave a horrible look as a said excuse me to try to access more items via the stairs. I would never go back there again to disturb their nice chat, bother them by being in the shop and MAYBE cause them to actually have to do some work.Report this
Not as good as used to be

I have been going to Amimal Fair for several years now and was always happy with the service. Spending in excess of £150.00 per trip. It was a pleasure to go to the shop as the staff were always very friendly and knowledgeable, they were also happy to have a chat about my pets (I have 5)and what i would need. However the customer service and atmosphere have seriously declined over the past year. The staff have become unhelpful and downright rude at times. On my last three visits to the shop I have been made to feel as though it is a trouble to serve me. In particular one staff member (Eastern European judging be her accent) seems to have some difficulty understanding english and displays a curious arrogance for someone who has chosen to work in the service industry. On top of this she gave me dietary advice for one of my pets that if I had followed would have harmed him ! Thankfully I checked with my vet before following the advice, but it did make me decide never to return. So sad to see what was a great shop decline so far.Report this
