I think it’s important not to follow a trend completely, but to use aspects of that trend in a way that compliments your features. If you want to accentuate your eyes, you could take inspiration from the smudged, worn-in smoky eye look, e.g. Anna Sui and Chanel. 1. Start by having a clean up, dip a cotton bud in eye make-up remover and remove any smudges of eye make-up and flecks of mascara.
2. Next, use a facial spritz to hydrate the skin.
3. Touch up concealer/foundation where needed, rather than removing and starting again.
4. Use a skin illuminator to highlight along cheek and brow bones to give skin a subtle shimmer.
5. Use a chunky eye crayon to line the upper and lower lash lines, and then smudge with a cotton bud to give a softer, smokier finish.
