  1. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

    Absolutely dire. Landlord extremely rude. Shouted at a family in his 'family friendly' dining area. We waited over 1 hour and 20 minutes to be served food that was at best less than average. We had complained several times to the waitress about the waiting time. If we hadn't had a couple of drinks we would have gone elsewhere. On leaving, the landlord asked if everything was OK - ha!!! We told him about the wait and he became extremely rude and obnoxious. DO NOT GO THERE.

  2. Great place for lunch!

    Sat outside as we had a dog, inside packed, everybody there of Sunday for the roast meal, £4 or £6 for a large, choice of 3 meats or a veggie option. Superbly cooked meat, excellent vegetables, lovely gravy and yorkshire. Damned great plateful, remember to take an appetite. Well priced, great service and so friendly, we will be going back. The landlord is great and the staff so friendly
