About us
Independant Day School For Girls
Westfield is a small, independent day school for 400 girls situated in the heart of Gosforth, a pleasant residential suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne with good access to public transport. Westfield School was founded in 1960 by a group of enthusiastic parents who saw the need for a new type of girls' independent school with a broader curriculum than those offered by other Newcastle schools.

Moving from London to Newcastle, choosing Westfield was the best decision we made for our daughters. They have all enjoyed their time there, taking all the opportunities that were available. It?s a lovely school with small class sizes which meant great tuition for them. They got good GCSE and A Level grades and are now at Russell Group universities. They travelled all over the world as part of the school?s Round Square programme which they loved and really enjoyed the extra-curricular activities on offer. We would highly recommend Westfield School.
