    I find the reviews stating unfriendly service truly mystifying. The "Lady of the House" is one of the warmest, friendliest people you'd ever wish to meet and makes you feel really valued.They are very fast at getting your order to you and the food is decent in our experience. My only grumble is that the sweet & sour sauce isn't as sour as I'd prefer, but that's just down to personal preference and everything else seems clean, fresh and well cooked. I've never had a "bad morning after" as with so many other takeaways.

    Yes, Boyd is right. I ordered some food from Tiger Chan just before Christmas last year. The food is indeed awful. The chow mein was not hot enough and not thoroughly cooked. It's much saltier in some parts so I had to throw it away. The chicken in black bean sauce is also too salty, the chicken tasted like rubber. Even the crispy beef in peking sauce is too salty. In view of my blood pressure, I had to throw everything away except the prawn crackers.

    i recently moved to this area, and i tried tiger chan's food based on mummybea's great review. i think the owner wrote the review himself. the staff is contemptuous and patronizing. the food is dreadful. i was really disappointed with the quality and service.

    Based in the middle of a housing estate along with a couple of other shops etc this Takeaway is great. Offers a good range of Chinese, Cantonese, Peking and Szechan food. All the menu is well priced and the portion sizes are generous, so don't order too much! Not great for a late night snack as they shut at 10:30 but as there is no real passing trade this is more of a home based takeaway.Delivery service available within 2 miles of Melstock Avenue.Staff are really really friendly and food always hot and tasty so worth trying if your looking for a local takeaway
