    I quite enjoy this local pub. Its good to have a traditional meal from time to time. Not keen on the steaks on skillets which tend to be a bit overdone and you can burn yourself on them too. Otherwise, the roasts are usully good and save you having to cook Sunday lunch yourself. Good traditional puds too.Only drawback is that the service can be a bit slow, so don't be in a hurry.

    I quite enjoy this pub since its so convenient. They do really good roasts, but not keen on the steaks on burning hot skillets....they can be overdone and watch your fingers. Puds are nice and traditional. The only drawback is the service can be quite slow.

    Working around the corner, I tend to be a regular customer at The Woodman. I've had no problems with service, food or drinks until today when I went in for a pre-Christmas tipple and was immediately harassed by both staff and the landlady, being accused of leaving a negative 'mystery shopper' review.Having had nothing to do with such review I was left feeling depressed and upset to say the least and can sincerely say that I have absolutely no inclination to offer myself as a customer ever again.I would most definitely NOT recommend visiting this pub with such atrocious accusations and insinuations!
