The Point

Not Bad!

I've only visited The Point once, which was waaaaay back in the winter of 2007. It's located in Sunderland City centre, on the semi-pedestrianised area along from Chase and The Borough. We went on a Saturday night for a birthday and it was rather quiet. It's a large, cavernous venue, with seating along the sides of the room and a huge dancefloor. The bar staff were friendly and the prices were about average for a nightspot. The strangest thing about the place was the very random mini-stage in the middle of the dancefloor - not very safe, but very amusing to watch people falling off! The sound system was good but there was a lot of reverb when you were sat on the seats.
