The Fountain

The Fountain has been a well established central Cambridge bar for some years, however after an extensive refurbishment in Dec '11 the bar is set to reach new heights, with it's stylish new look and extensive offer.

The new menu has a selection of homemade flatbreads, as well as the award winning pies and mash for which The Fountain are well known. Traditional roasts are served on a Sunday whilst customers relax reading papers or playing pub games, and listening to laid back tunes provided by the afternoon DJ. Food is served all day everyday from 12pm.

The bar boasts a great selection of beers, with 8 on draught, 5 cask ales, a cask cider and a selection of nearly 30 bottled beers and ciders from across the globe. The bar is open everyday from 11am to 3am.

There are a variety of events throughout the week, 2-4-1 cocktails on a Monday, Stock exchange night on a Tuesday and DJs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

There is a large function room on the top floor, for private hire.

    I have been to The Fountain several times when I lived in Cambridge and occasionally still visit. Just on the outskirts of town its quite a nice a pub. During the day they serve quite good pub grub and are one of the few places that you can catch main sporting events like football and rugby. However by night I would steer clear. Starts to fill up from about 8pm and becuase it's open so late it tends to appeal to a very mixed crowd - not a good atmosphere.

  2. Late night drinks!

    This place is just a normal little place during the day with resonable drinks and coffees.The evening however this place kicks off, they stay open late adn people come here for last drinks can get a bit rowdy! The usually have a dj on the weeknds and it does get busy.Its main drawback is if you come here during the day it is a little stinky, mainly stale beer!
