arranged to meet some friends with children for lunch and suggested we meet at the chequers as when i drive past it has a great garden full of toys, to keep the children occupied, a slide, boat etc. the food was excellent (opted for the lamb roast with children having sausage mash and beans) substantial and very tasty and the atmosphere was great, eating in the garden so we could keep an eye on the children who were occupied with all the toys, we were able to relax and enjoy the afternoon. staff were very polite and helpful and were happy to get babys bottle heated for us. i would definately recommend this establishment to a friend and we are going back with the older children as they are having an evening fireworks display (free of charge) .
