Carlisle's No 1 Restaurant

Teza Indian Restaurant & Bar offers a taste of Indian home cooking, from the traditional to the contemporary. Only a small fraction of India’s cuisines have been explored in the UK’s Indian restaurants and at Teza we would like to address this omission.

Menus will change frequently so that we can present to our customers the broadest possible range of traditional and contemporary regional Indian cooking.

One very important things every good chef knows, is that a dish can never be better than the ingredients that went into making it. For this reason, we have been very careful in selecting only pure, fresh spices, and all our meat is free-range and traditionally reared in Cumbria.

    Best Indian food for miles around. The menu includes all the old favourites and a wide range of unusal and innovative items but, personally, I don't think curried salmon really works. You can watch the food being cooked in the immaculate kitchen while you wait. Service is excellent and the staff are very helpful. There are regular "eat as much as you can" buffet evenings. Very handy for the local night spots. Prices a bit higher than the other Indian places in town but worth it. Highly recommended.
