"Most people recognise a good image when they see it. With photography its about organising yourself to be in the right place at the right time and having the skill to see, deal with and take the shot before it evaporates."

Richard Bishop has been a freelance photographer and photojournalist since he left education and he loves his job.

His images are representative of an eclectic client base: public relations, national and regional press, websites, weddings, sport, architecture, vehicle, commercial, industrial, product and fine art.

Recent clients include BP, Citroen UK, Burnt Tree, The Sun, The Mail, the Newsletter (Belfast), North Wales Newspapers, Shropshire Newspapers, Period Home magazine, Shropshire Council, The MOD, West Mercia Police and PR companies around the UK. Wedding photography clients include Boris Johnson, Mayor of London.

He writes news and feature articles for the press and for organisation’s blogs. His work often involves increasing a company’s exposure.
