The Best Hair Salon Ever!
10/08/2011 by westlondongirl
For years I've been searching for a hair salon that A: doesn't charge the earth, B: you get the same stylist every time who knows your hair and style and C: who doesn't make a complete mess of the job. I've found all this at Pro Hands by Sonia. An unasuming, family run business on Churchfield Road, Pro Hands is a gem of a find and once you go there, you won't go anywhere else to get your hair done. Sonia (the mother), set up the salon around six years ago and her two daughters work along side her, one doing hair, the other doing beauty treatments downstairs. I can't speak for the beauty side of the business because I haven't yet had a treatment (I'm loyal to a fantastic place in Ealing). But the quality of the hair dressing is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. after having my hair cut and dyed red last weekend I walked out feeling fabulous and with plenty of change out of £100. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with tea and coffee a-plenty and lots of chatting. Most people who visit the salon are regulars (why wouldn't you become one?) and the place is usually busy. The family are a great team and will always remember you and how you like your hair styled, and if you aren't sure what you want the two women are ready to give tips on styling and colour. Sonia is formidable but really knows her stuff and Nush (the daughter) is a whizz with the colours. The salon also stock Inoa colour products which are amonia free and odourless (just like it says on the advert) and they left my hair feeling nurrished and revitalised. I've been visiting this salon for the past 6 months and after recently convincing my partner to divert from her usual salon in the west end (where she gets charged twice the price) she has now said she will make Pro Hands her regular salon. Give them a go - you won't regret it. Oh - and they are unisex as well, so guys -don't feel left out. Tip: make sure you book in advance - this isn't the kind of place you can usually just walk in to and get your hair cut without a long wait, especially not on a Saturday.Report this
