About us

Gifted IDL Centre is now open in Cricklewood- NW London. IDL (Indirect Dyslexia Learning) is a specialist literacy software programme for people with dyslexic type difficulties.

IDL Dyslexia Centres provide services for adults and children who have dyslexic type difficulties. The programme is highly successful and has helped adults and children around the UK to improve their literacy skills for over 20 years.

What is the IDL system?

• Specialist literacy computer programme.

• Multisensory approach involving sight, hearing, touch and voice, builds up skills gradually in a stress-free way.

• Structured, sequential, cumulative learning programme, which provides a learner-friendly course.

Students work through a series of graded typed lessons based on story format, interspersed with comprehension, grammar and spelling rules exercises.

The IDL programme is delivered using computers containing over 900 lessons. Suitable for people of all levels, from those who need to literacy support, to those who need a boost to help them reach their potential.

Studies have shown average improvement as 10 months in reading and 11 months in spelling after only 26 hours.
