Backwoodsman is a specialist supplier of wood/peat/multifuel stoves based in the Scottish West Highlands near Oban (Argyll.)

The business was established more than twenty-five years ago and has been a distributor of quality stoves and chimneys ever since. Comprehensive advice is freely available to local customers and covers everything from heat loss calculations to water-heating and the design of chimneys. Backwoodsman has provided professional services to architects, local authorities and insurance companies as well as to thousands of householders throughout the West Highlands.

We were one of the first stove distributors in the UK to develop a computer-based system for calculating heat losses and in most cases this service is completely free to locally based prospective customers.
