    We decided to choose Abco because of the excellent reviews they received on yell.com. We were very impressed with the service. They only accept cash which is good because I have distrusted the banking sector since the recession. The vans must also be vintage or something because there is a £1000 (cash) excess too for accidents. This also reassured me of the quality of the vans.I asked if we should check the van for scratches and dents before we took it but the owner was not concerned and said as long as we do not wrap it around a lamp post it will be fine. The van itself was a white Ford Transit that was a seasoned traveler. It was showing signs of age, rust around the wheel arches, a hole in the floor straight through to the road, but there was some tread on the tires and no cracks in the windscreen.Needless to say it performed the task of removing our old bathroom suite admirably. The only reason this review is 4 stars was because of a minor incident that occurred on our last trip to the dump. We were driving along and one of the front wheels fell off the van. I called the owner and he was very polite, he asked where we were and within 40 minutes he was there with a replacement van. His initial response was 'It can't be helped', as I am not a regular van driver I assume this kind of thing must happen regularly giving his insouciance about the whole situation.     We used ABCO for our house move and found them very cheap and hassle free. Will use them again and recommend them to others.

    I have hired vans from ABCO for a number of years. I have always found the staff to be courteous, polite and helpful and throughout my years as a customer I have never been disappointed with the service I received. Also I find their prices very reasonable. I have recommended ABCO to a number of friends and they too have been satisfied with their service.

    Without a doubt the worst treatment I've ever had not only off a van hire company but from any business. In. My. Life. The person I dealt with on the screamed and swore and was all round threatening and vicious to my girlfriends mother, my girlfriend and also myself. He was a vile human being. This phone call took place at 10 minutes to 5 when the van was due back at 5 the van was in fact on the road of the company at this point we were 5 minutes away. Bearing in mind we had also lost an hour of the day we had paid for after the van broke down and began smoking 30 seconds away from the pick up point. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
