I had the miss-fortune to suffer a burst pipe due to the adverse weather, I called out Able as they said they would be there within 90 mins, in fact they got theIr within 40 minutes and sorted out the problem without any fuss, the cost where fair and the service fast and they left my property tidy...A GREAT BIG RECCO FROM ME. | Report this

After having numerous problems with two other plumbing companies i tried calling out Able. I had lost my patience so it was nice to be spoken to with the care and attention offered by the lady on customer services. She could not promise an exact time due to the high volume of jobs they were attending but they gave me a time slot to which a plumber would arrive. The plumber arrived well within the time slot and fixed the problem within fifteen minutes. Fabulous service! | Report this

Very unhappy - P4u15 (01/12/2011)

I am writing this review in the hope that it will save at least one person their money. Our boiler failed recently and we were fairly desperate to get the problem fixed with the onset of the colder weather, so we called on Able (I now see the irony in the name). They were up front with the cost per 1/2 hr which is way above other services in the area and from my experience they spend a much time as possible taking things apart as possible to make the most of this cost. We mentioned the brand of boiler we had and they proceeded to send an engineer with no knowledge of the boiler. The long and short of this experience is that we had a diagnosis that was quoted as costing more than £500 or a new boiler costing £2,000 - since then we've had some professionals round who diagnosed the problem in 20 mins and it will cost £200 to fix. Please avoid if you like your money and you want a problem fixed! | Report this
